We as gamers posses imagination that is different than the norm. We are not like elder society in any way or form. Our generation has caused a swell of change for the better. A shock-wave followed by a wave of needed change. A swell of emotion in our identities allowed! A characterization presented in a form unnatural before and thankfully evaluated to be seen as real. ! That no longer we ponder on what is possible to surface on a video games screen. Emotions can now be played and felt realistically. Simplistic design can now sell and be taken down. Scope on how to play has been morphed into an introduction that stems to a spider web of concoctions!
Genres have multiplied and become extravagant and defined differently. Developers now pose public emotion and ridicules. Titles that seemed limitless now die or erode ever slightly. Challenge to change on how we play a game is collided with how we decide too. Criticism has increased and loyalty to one platform has risen.
Comments have become an unwanted and unneeded battlefield. Lies have become gossip, which has become fact, that has become trademark myth, that has been rebuttal-ed to unknown stature. Long known developers are closing doors and downsizing. Classics are becoming game algorithms forgotten, and then are resurrected to editions that don’t represent any of the past diligence.
If, mind you, if! If we want our generation to thrive and to build upon itself. Then we need to see what is hurting us as a whole, as a realm, as a map, as a land, as a world, as a universe and as a wanting utopia. How can we see what is front of us, if we constantly ridicule or allow what is happening in front of us.
Games didn’t use to be hate filled comments. We didn’t try to make our developers feel the hate, the hate we felt when ridiculed on what we loved. The hate we got when someone said we weren’t ever going to amount to anything. When they spent everything on their hobbies, and told us that our time spent on ours was nothing! WE AREN’T NOTHING! We are the future, and it’s our responsibility to show the other gamers what love and kindness is in our community. Our community!!!
How many times do you see someone getting hated on in the comments. I have participated unfortunately and am not proud of it. But it’s time to make a change as whole, as kind of people that don’t do the norm. People that decide to do the opposite, not because we just want to be different or unique. But because it is right, and it is needed for love. For our hobby, for our passion, for our love that all our brothers and sisters play. Time to love one another and stop debating on things we can’t change.
I grew up loving games. And I came here cause I felt safe. I felt safe in a community that loved what I loved. And when I see people hating on others for the things I love. It saddens me, I can’t live with the fact that we now are ridiculing such horrible words to people that haven’t done anything. Sure there are ones that deserve it. Trolls roam all parts, and are unhappy with their life if they find enjoyment in others suffering emotionally from their comments. But as we have all learned or should. If we do the same thing they have done to us. Are we better really? How can we be seen different. We have allowed our emotions to play their game. The game we hate from the hate they spell. It’s not right and I know you are saddened by it deep down. We all are… We want to be unique without the question to why we act the way we choose. But if we all chose to act accordingly and to not judge others. Then wouldn’t the ridicule and the questions stop to why we act ourselves. You could roam free, without harassment….
Your beautiful, and you don’t need to put hate through words. Words are a rainbow of colors. The meaning doesn’t change because the color of your skin. It still brings happiness or sadness no matter what you look like. You can cause love and hate no matter how large or small you are.
So I ask you please….. Please bring back the good people that are in us all. Bring it to this community, bring it to all the communities around us. Spread the kindness that you have inside. Spread the joy for your hobby without stepping on someone else’s. Tell someone how smart and awesome they are. Tell someone you love them for who they are. Tell someone you were wrong. Tell someone you have changed your mind through logical thinking.
All these things don’t make you weak as a person. They make you human. They make you stronger when you use the information to provide a better answer.
I love you all and you should love yourselves……
